Dj Yoda: Tras el exitazo de sus actuaciones del fin de semana pasado en el Festival de Glastombury o del Primavera Sound de hace unas semanas llega a Madrid esta estrella mundial de los platos dentro de su extensísima gira veraniega de festivales y clubs. Según la prestigiosa Q Magazine es uno de los 10 Dj´s que debes ver / escuchar antes de morir. Este viernes tienes la oportunidad de verlo en el Low Club.

Nava, es miembro fundador de Jazzin Club, colectivo de dj's que funciona desde 1992. también es socio de la tienda de discos Ama establecida en Madrid desde 1996. Como residente ha pinchado en Katmandu desde el 94 al 97 y mas tarde en Jazzin Club (Davai) hasta el 99. También ha sido residente en Bali Hai y en The Room en el 2000. Ha sido invitado a festivales como Estación Futura 96 y 98, Phonotica 98, FIMES 98,Benicassim 98, Dr. Music 96 y 97, open zone 97, sonar 96, festimad 99, electronikaldia 2001 ... Como DJ invitado a pinchado en clubs de toda España y algunos en el extranjero. Su sesion es ecléctica; dominada por su afición a la musica negra, el Funk, Jazz, Soul, Dub y ritmos latinos el abanico de estilos rítmicos es muy amplio (House, Drum and Bass, Broken Beats, Nu Jazz, Down Tempo...) Ha editado el tema "El chalao" para el recopilatorio del sello Hitop Records AFTER SCHOOL SPECIAL y “Badulaque” para la segunda parte de este recopilatorio que este mismo sello editará en la primavera del 2003, además de remezclas para gente como Pez, Jazz Two , etc. Actualmente, puedes escuchar su variada selección musical en clubs de Madrid como Katmandú y juglar

Who is Teenage Bad Girl? Teenage Bad Girl is French duo Guillaume Manbell and Greg Kazubski. Some say they are a genetic mix of Daft Punk, Aphex twin and The Stooges. They are part of the new french electro scene, together with Justice, Para One and a few others. They released the 12 inch “Hands of a Stranger” in 2006, and also did a remix of Scissor Sisters song “I don’t feel like dancing”. In March 2007 they released their first album “Cocotte” on Citizen Records; the cd album includes 14 tracks and also two remixes by Boys Noize and Hystereo. The 12” picture vinyl version has 5 tracks that can be found on the album and 1 exclusive remix by Yuksek. They soon gained a lot of respect in the electro-world, and did some remixes, most notably one for Goose. Keep all eyes on them!

Homeboy dj: Defensor del hit como canalizador , en las sesiones de homeboy podemos escuchar todos esos temas que han sido banda sonora de nuestros mejores momentos, y por supuesto de los que lo seran en el futuro. La perfecta mezcla entre pop, rock y electrónica en una coctelera de sonidos que van desde The Cure a Interpol, de New order a daft punk, de the killers a digitalism ...Grandes remezclas y poderosos himnos pop como señas de identidad. Es residente del LOW club y homebar, y ha estado actuando en locales de toda europa como Ochoymedio, independance, top of the pops , shift club, La Via Lactea, Moby Dick, Astoria, Stereo (Alicante), Fever (Bilbao), razz club (Barcelona), Voltage 333 (londres) y en festivales como el festival do norte, Summercase y FIB. Por eso se le considera uno de los baluartes del sonido pop de la capital. y del Low Club

Alex by Alex: My biography was ridiculously out of date, so until i get around to doing a new one i will sum myself up very briefly. I'm Metric. I love what i do, and that is make records. I make my own music, i sing songs, i remix and sometimes i produce and write for other people. I then play these records in sweaty clubs extremely loud and jump about. I'm uber busy beavering away on my album and live show. watch out for the album and me wielding a red keytar in 2009 Until then theres plenty of dj sets lined up. check my listings!

His nickname used to be Thommo, but during the the early nineties it didn't sound very acid house. He didn't like it, he never liked it this boy from OZ. The name tormented him, it undermined his dance party status and his emerging sexuality he thought. At art school the media students teased him and the sculpture students used to steal his mo wax lunchbox and mix clay into his peanut butter sandwiches. He ate them anyway. Art was going to kill him... he needed to fight back... he needed to become an art killer. After burning his whiteboard markers, his teaching jacket and other assorted art college paraphanalia, his soul surrended. Giggling, the now defunct COFA Lecturer flipped some switches, twiddled knobs and took any excess clay he found to his new spinning wheels. The abject lump of clay soon became a fragmented mess of dried up mud, dust and spilt candy glazes. It wasn't an idealized form, there was shit everywhere but he loved it. Thommo had become a disco Jockey...Thommo had become Ajax. Ajax made friends fast, although the dancefloor still wasn't sure of his technique. So he and his few new friends created their own studio...The BANG GANG (Modular). Soon the shit noise that they had created spawned a new poetry and it was recorded (Ministry of Sound Mashed 1 2002, Ministry of Sound Mashed 2 Bang Gang Djs 2005, Tiga/Ajax In the Mix 2005 (both cds nominated for DMA Best mixed cd 2006), Ajax Presents Spin City 2006, Light Sound Dance Bang Gang Djs 2007 (Modular), Sweat It Out 2008 (Sweat It Out), Dance Till Dawn, Damnation, I'm With Bang Gang, Bang Gang K-Lassics and Bang Gang Art Killers 1). Technics In The Mix No.1 Australian Dj 2007 and 2006, Allen & Heath DMA Best Australian DJ and Best Mixed CD 2006, 3d World Dj of the Year 2002, 2004, 2005, his Art Killing had hit new heights. Busy Ps Best Dj of 2007 (XLR8R), Digitalism's best dj of 2007 (BIGSHOT) and Justice's One to Watch in 2008 (DJ MAGAZINE). Fabric (London) pay him occasionally as do Showcase (Paris) for some spot cleaning, he no longer borrows money from his mum. His ego has spiralled out of control and bent his pop making; remixing Princess Superstar, Midnight Juggernauts, The Emergency, Naive New Beaters, and the Valentinos. People laughed, some cried... His naked ambition had made him a peep show. Soon the dollar coins started to pile, he climbed them and to his surprise all he could see was clay and dust and glazes in every direction. He was speaking in toungues, a green foam frothed soon from his nostrils and he perspired..... what better he thought than to manipulate his ooze and bring forth (up) his own record label, SWEAT IT OUT (www.myspace.com/sweatitoutmusc)which launched in Feburary 2008 representin such artists as Gameboy Gamegirl, Edu K, Act Yo Age, Oh Snap and Killaqueenz, D CUP, and his elusive self. With subscriptions to Modern Painters and Frieze now long expired, the battle for dominance between Ajax and Art continues. With the field wider and the arsenal larger, we expect an explosive and intriguing era ahead.

díscolo, la: 1. adj. Desobediente, que no se comporta con docilidad. Quizás sea esta –la ausencia de sumisión- una de las sensaciones que la gente se lleve a casa después de enfrentarse a un dj set de Díscolo. Este barcelonés, de raíces cántabras y norteamericanas, ha conseguido crear un discurso propio dentro de la escena electrónica de la capital gracias a su capacidad por subvertir todo tipo de estilos entre sí con insolencia, sensibilidad y altas dosis de elegancia. Sesiones que traduce en tours-de-force que arrancan en el jazz, la IDM o la música clásica para evolucionar hacia el baile trufadas de New Wave, Disco de ayer y hoy -con especial devoción por el Italodisco, una de sus debilidades- Detroit Techno & Chicago House, Tech House, French Groove & New Rave, Technopop o Electro. Después de defender varias residencias en Barcelona ( Ommsession en Hotel Omm, SalCafé o Zentraus , por citar algunas), Dani Rivero Baughman se ha instalado en Madrid para dar rienda suelta a sus inquietudes desde la cabina de Low, sin duda uno de los clubs de referencia dentro del panorama nacional. Su participación en la última edición del Sónar 2008 es sólo un paso más en su escalada imparable.

BUENAVISTA (audiosushi.com) (Razzmatazz BCN) + ICO (Low Club)

Auténtico dinamizador de la escena barcelonesa, primero en la glamourosa cabina del añorado Mond Club y, desde hace cinco años, como residente de Razzmatazz Clubs (además de responsable de programación de varias de sus salas), dj Buenavista es uno de los mejores djs de bastard pop del país. Irreverente e iconoclasta, Buenavista es un auténtico trend setter que se anticipa a las modas con un olfato infalible. Ya sea como programador o como dj, en sus cotizadas sesiones nos presenta lo más nuevo del pop y el rock hermanados con la electrónica más gamberra. Acostumbrado a pasear sus maletas de discos por clubs de Nueva York o Londres, habitual en los festivales de mayor prestigio del país y amigo de buena parte de la escena pop internacional Buenavista ha logrado con sus sets hedonistas y tremendamente sexys crear escuela. This is entertainement.

Ico: Una temprana inquietud musical hizo que empezara en la radio allá por el año 2000, lo que le condujo a comenzar a pinchar en Alicante sin haber siquiera cumplido la mayoría de edad. Eso le abrió las puertas para tomar las cabinas de Confetti Club y mas tarde, tras trasladarse a Elche, la del Club Camelot y del Divine Pop Room, donde cumplio su ultima etapa en la zona levantina. Alicantino de procedéncia, se instala en Madrid en Junio de 2008 para quedarse con nosotros como residente del Low Club. En sus sesiones se entrelazan las guitarras y los beats. El pop suena a club, el club suena indie, desde el pop o el punk-funk hasta los breaks, el electro o el new wave. Sonido no etiquetado, diversión a golpe de beat!
